Day 43 – Smash Fest

Having been injured for much of this MicroCycle, it’s not been hugely productive, but with all that behind me I was left with no other option than absolutely destroying this last day.

Health: Fine 10/10

Today’s workout was chest+arms and I left everything I had in the gym. I focused hard on form and tempo and upped the weight in every exercise. I also felt like I had a little left after the incline bench presses, so I added a 1 rep flat bench press and hit a personal best by 1kg. Despite yesterday’s ab work, the ab exercises also went well, especially the barbell roll-outs. I seem to enjoy them which makes me think they’re not hard enough. After a great workout I rewarded myself with a two-scoop protein shake, for which I blended in crushed ice to give it a McDonalds milkshake texture. It was great and felt thoroughly indulgent. I could have them all day, every day.

Tomorrow is the start of a new MicroCycle and whatever it involves I will DESTROY!
